We're extremely proud to have cut the ribbon at the Depoe Bay Townhomes, a new Lincoln County housing community that will provide workforce housing and wildfire recovery.

These homes will provide stable, affordable housing for local families who keep our community running.

This revitalized community space honors Astoria’s rich history while creating a vibrant, welcoming environment for future generations of readers and learners. From updated reading areas and flexible community rooms to enhanced accessibility and sustainable building features, the library now stands as a hub for connection, creativity, and lifelong learning.

We’re proud to have partnered with the City of Astoria, Astoria Public Library, Hennebery Eddy Architects, Otak, our wonderful subcontractors, and countless community members who helped bring this vision to life. Congratulations to everyone who made this project possible — and to the people of Astoria, who now have a library as inspiring as the community it serves.

After more than 35 years, we’re celebrating our colleague and friend, Shane Curl, as he retires from O’Brien. As Senior Project Manager and General Superintendent, Shane has been the calm voice on tough days, the first to the site and the last to leave, and the mentor who always made time for a question.

The projects he delivered will stand for decades, but his greatest legacy is the people he shaped and the trust he built. Shane, thank you for your integrity, patience, and heart. You’ve made O’Brien better, and all of us better for working beside you.
