Hi, it’s me, Marcie. While I’m at a loss for words at yesterday’s results, I wanted to share something that personally provided a glimmer of hope.

Weeks ago, I committed to volunteering in a friend’s Fiber Arts classroom—not fully realizing what day it was. Despite my inability to grapple with my own feelings (& the desire to spend the day sobbing, face-down, wrapped in my favorite quilt), I did know that letting kids down wasn’t an option.

Sitting with this class of young makers and seeing their excitement about hand-sewing made me hopeful in a way that I didn’t expect. I was reminded of the power of community and handicrafts, and the healing magic that can occur when the two are combined.

Now, more than ever, is the time to lean into community and take care of one another. The only way out is through, and we will get through this together 🧡 hugs from your TT Fabs fam
