MEAR ONE, Los Angeles. Words can't express the honor to have him and his paintings at our show. His history in our culture is stamped in stone and he's a prime example of reaching extreme goals through the love of Graffiti. His work through the years has evolved from street poetry meant to shine a light on the Graffiti Culture. Now his work is intended to make the viewer think beyond our carnal sense and attain a greater knowledge of the spiritual and intellectual self and get us closer to the celestial universe. Sam Arneson is a Portland Artist who seems to have no limit as to his skill with any media or subject he tackles. Sam's style is remarkable and I personally can't decide whether it's his warped buildings or his characters that are my favorite joints. When he sent in the image of the painting he did for our Graffiti show I was floored. Big, bold, beautiful and insanely detailed. You have to see this piece up close, September 26th at the Goodfoot.
