Springmann, 19, of Hartland, Maine; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; who died July 17 in Talukan, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Dore, 25, of Moscow, Maine; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; who died on this day in 2007 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device. Army Spc. Jason E. Dore – The Summit Project 25, of Moscow, Maine; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; died July 8 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device.

Today The Summit Project remembers the life and service of Army 1st Sgt. Christopher D. Coffin, 51, of Kennebunk, Me.; assigned to the USASOC, 352nd C.A. Command; who died on this day in 2003 in a traffic accident on Highway 8 in Iraq. 1stSgt Coffin spent 23 years in the military and always took care of his soldiers. Thank you Chris for your service and sacrifice.
