Today The Summit Project remembers the life and service of Army Pfc. Tyler M. Springmann, 19, of Hartland, Maine; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; who died July 17 in Talukan, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Dore, 25, of Moscow, Maine; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; who died on this day in 2007 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device. Thank you Jason for your service and sacrifice.

Today The Summit Project remembers the life and service of Army 1st Sgt. Christopher D. Coffin, 51, of Kennebunk, Me.; assigned to the USASOC, 352nd C.A. Command; who died on this day in 2003 in a traffic accident on Highway 8 in Iraq. 1stSgt Coffin spent 23 years in the military and always took care of his soldiers.
