Join your District 1 neighbors for a Budget Listening Session.
Each listening session begins with a brief overview of the budget which helps to get oriented to the fiscal year 2026–27 process. Then City Council members will share information, their observations, and remarks about the budget, next community members who want to speak will provide up to two minutes of public comment. Those using interpretation services will have more time available.
Free public parking is available, ASL and Spanish interpretation will be provided, and the meeting will be recorded.
Whether you're there to provide feedback, share ideas, or highlight what matters most to you — we want to hear from you.
To provide in-person public comment at District Listening Sessions, register at the welcome table up to 30 minutes before the meeting starts. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to speak, public comment will start with community members who live in the district. After that, people who live outside the district will be invited to comment. Each speaker will have two minutes. Depending on attendance, we may not be able to accommodate all speakers. If you need more time or prefer another option, please consider submitting written comments online.
If you are not able to attend the event, you can provide written comments anytime online.
