Beginning Again, mindful resilience
Winter consciousness invites us into a space of quiet reflection, where stillness becomes the fertile ground for beginning again. It's a season that teaches resilience not through resistance, but through rest, reminding us that regeneration often happens beneath the surface, in unseen places.
In honoring winter’s call to slow down, we cultivate the strength to emerge renewed, rooted more deeply in ourselves and ready to meet the next cycle of life with clarity and intention.
Join us this Sunday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am for the Portland Meditation Group’s guided meditation and reconnect with your inner rhythm in a supportive, peaceful setting. R.S.V.P. at pdxhypnosis.com/meditation

“Winter is not a retreat from life,
but a sacred return to the roots of it.”
In the heart of winter, nature invites us into stillness. Trees let go. The earth rests. And beneath the quiet, a slow, deep renewal begins.
We invite you to join us for a special Winter Meditation gathering, where we’ll explore what it means to live in rhythm with the seasons, and how the wisdom of winter can guide us toward greater balance, clarity, and inner peace.
This 90-minute session includes:
🌬️ A guided winter meditation centered on rest, release, and renewal
🌿 Breath and body awareness to ground into the present moment
🔥 Space for quiet reflection and gentle reconnection
Why gather in winter?
Because this season teaches us that slowing down is not falling behind, it’s aligning with life’s deeper rhythm. It reminds us that even in stillness, important work is happening, and that by honoring natural cycles, we reconnect with our own.

Compass of the Unbound
There are mornings
when the light feels older than the sun,
as if it has traveled through every life
I have ever lived
just to rest on my hands.
On those days,
the world widens.
Every sound has a center.
Every breath has edges
I didn’t notice before.
Enlightenment, I’ve learned,
isn’t a summit,
it’s a quiet agreement
to keep walking
even when the map folds in on itself.
Life gives you corridors,
weather systems,
entire oceans of yes
and deserts of not-yet.
You move through them
like a lantern with a pulse,
trying not to mistake brightness
for truth.
And somewhere between
stillness and velocity
you realize:
the vastness isn’t something
to conquer,
it’s something to listen to.
Each experience is a doorway
that opens only as wide
as your willingness
to let the world revise you.
So you gather moments
the way a traveler gathers water, carefully, gratefully,
knowing the journey asks
for both clarity and thirst.
Enlightened living isn’t certainty.
It’s a steady turning
toward the deeper current,
letting it carry you
into the next unnamed horizon
with your eyes open
and your hands unclosed.
