Thinking about visiting the Rose City? Portland, Oregon gets its nickname for a reason, and the International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park is the always a popular choice

What Makes It Special: It’s home to 10,000+ bushes and 600+ types of roses. Because it’s an international test garden, world-renowned hybridizers send their experimental varieties here to be judged on fragrance, color, and disease resistance.
Visiting every single year has become one of my favorite personal traditions. Peak bloom runs from late May through October, so plan your summer and fall travel accordingly!
