The Two Rivers
Question:
The conflict of two desires leads to suffering. Yet some suffering leads to a madhouse.
Answer:
Suffering can be of different kinds.
To begin with, we shall divide it into two types:
unconscious, and second, conscious.
The first kind bears no results. For instance, you suffer from hunger becauseyou have no money to buy bread.
If you have some bread and don't eat it andsuffer, it is better.
If you suffer with one center, either thinking or feeling, you end up in a lunatic asylum.
Suffering must be harmonious. There must be correspondence between thefine and the course. Otherwise, something may break.
