We are an international organization based in Portland, Oregon partnering with grassroots organizations around the world working with women and children at risk. Our main strategy for seeing longterm change is to work with local people in their communities. We desire to empower small but critical initiatives to be successful in their work among the smallest, weakest, poorest and most needy in society.

The Reality Of Suffering In Conflict Zones (Part 1) - Loom International 02/20/2025

We were invited to come and train the staff of Christian Faith Ministries (CFM) in Nigeria, using our tool, the Celebrating Children Workshop. Their staff, due to the crisis nature of their work, were not prepared for the reality of working with traumatized women and children. Our participants were those who worked in the crisis care homes, those who worked with the women in Mara’s house, teachers in the school they run with over 900 children, missionaries who serve at some of the 250 mission stations across the Sahel nations and those who train the missionaries and visit them.

A school bus means safe, reliable transportation for all pupils and ensuring pupils arrive on time and ready to learn each day.
A bus can also alleviate the burden on families who currently rely on inconsistent or costly transport options.

Many pupils of Elwa Sunrise School in the North of Uganda live too far from their school to walk. Roads are often unsafe, and heavy rains make walking dangerous and unreliable.

This Giving Tuesday Elwa Sunrise in Northern Uganda is raising funds for a school bus. Go to https://www.loominternational.org/donate-2022/ to give.

October 11 is the International Day of the Girl Child set by UNICEF

"This year’s theme conveys both the need for urgent action and persistent hope, driven by the power of girls’ voices and vision for the future.
Today’s generation of girls is disproportionately affected by global crises of climate, conflict, poverty and pushback on hard won gains for human rights and gender equality. Too many girls are still denied their rights, restricting their choices and limiting their futures.
Yet, recent analysis shows that girls are not only courageous in the face of crisis, but hopeful for the future. Every day, they are taking action to realize a vision of a world in which all girls are protected, respected and empowered.
But girls cannot realize this vision alone. They need allies who listen to and respond to their needs."
