Ayurvedic Summer Wisdom: Cool Your Heat, Fuel Your Radiance
 
June marks the transition into Grishma Ritu (Summer Season in Ayurveda), where Pitta dosha begins to dominate.
 
We are also experiencing fiery Mars in its natural home with fiery Aries. Double the firepower! Although it can bring a surge of ambition and motivation, it can also increase competitive energy, heated tempers, impulsiveness, and heat-related imbalances, as well as inflammation in the mind and body.
 
As we are in this season of fire and solar power, it’s time to channel it consciously.
 
When Pitta is in balance, you’re a force of clarity, courage, and confidence. When it becomes imbalanced, it manifests as inflammation, frustration, impatience, temper, and digestive distress. Ayurveda helps you turn the heat of summer into fuel for joy, not fire for burnout.

💧 Your Summer Flow Rituals:
 
* Wake early (before 6 a.m.) to enjoy cool, peaceful mornings.
* Move your body gently: Think early walks, slow yoga, swimming — not high-heat workouts midday.
* Eat cooling fruits (separate from other foods) and drink coconut water for its cooling effect and to replenish electrolytes.
* Practice gratitude and pause before speaking; take a few calming breaths if you’re feeling irritated.
* Use rose water or sandalwood on the skin for an instant sense of calm.
* At Vibrance Ayurveda, we offer a lovely cooling hydrosol, a blend of white and red roses, that can be stored in the refrigerator for a refreshing mist mid-day or when the sun is at its hottest, or kept in your purse or car for an on-the-go cool-down.
