Pictured here is the home of Eva Kosmas Flores – a photographer, educator, and author who partnered with Studio Renée to create this stunning oasis in the Hood River Gorge.

Set on 29 acres, the home was designed to exist in harmony with the surrounding landscape, blending seamlessly with nature while providing the functionality needed for a future homestead.

Eva's vision for the property includes a vegetable garden, small orchard, vibrant flower beds, and the ongoing stewardship of the land as the surrounding forest continues to grow. Every design decision was made with both beauty and purpose in mind.

To help bring that vision to life, Studio Renée selected luxury plumbing fixtures and hardware from Chown. After a day spent tending the land, there is something special about returning to a home designed for comfort and ease. These thoughtfully chosen fixtures support the rhythms of daily life while complementing the home's design and natural surroundings.

We're proud to have partnered on this affordable housing development by Home Forward in collaboration with Portland Community College and NAYA (Native American Youth and Family Center), which also includes an early education center on the first floor. It's an investment in housing, education, and the future of the community, and we're honored to have played a role in bringing it to life!

For this one, our team coordinated custom-finished steel frames to match the architect's exact vision and developed a creative hardware solution for the storefront doors that met the project's access control requirements without delaying construction.
