This past week, we were given our assignment on how to ensure a prosperous economic future. As a local public servant on the Portland City Council, I was encouraged by the ongoing vision articulated by our two U.S. Senators, Sen. Ron Wyden & Sen. Jeff Merkley. Congresswoman Janelle Bynum & Maxine Dexter, & Suzzanne Bonnamici were all in attendance. I would like to thank Senator Wyden for his insightful leadership, along with Duncan Wyse, in bringing us together to develop a strategic plan that involves businesses and all levels of government for the past 23 years. Outstanding!
