Pygmy rabbits (Brachylagus idahoensis) are endangered in the Columbia Basin (and somewhat unfairly cute). The Oregon Zoo reports today that some of the captive rabbits released in Washington state last summer are surviving the winter, a good sign for the recovery effort.
