Portland Black Pride

Hello Community,

I’m proud to share that Portland Black Pride is still here, still active, and under new leadership! As the new owner of Portland Black Pride LLC, I want to assure you that our mission remains the same to create meaningful, intentional spaces and events that uplift and celebrate our Black LGBTQ+ community.

We don’t believe in rushing or doing things last minute. Instead, we are taking our time to plan events and initiatives that our community will truly enjoy and that will reflect all of us in the most authentic way.

I also want to address some conversations around the Black Rainbow Initiative. While I fully support their work, Portland Black Pride operates as a completely separate entity. We have our own path, vision, and goals for the community.

I’m incredibly honored and excited to have the privilege of continuing this important work, and I’m deeply grateful for the support and encouragement of those who have led Portland Black Pride before me. Their leadership laid the foundation, and I carry this responsibility with pride and purpose.

In the coming months, you’ll see us becoming more visible, announcing new events, and continuing to build something powerful and lasting for Portland.
