Our good friends and gifted us some homemade sweet & spicy almonds and walnuts so OF COURSE I had to make a tasty simple syrup out of them. I added a touch of maple syrup 🍁 to the mixture during the boiling process to give it a nice, rich flavor.

Hey everyone!
Haley here, half of Raise the Bar PDX. We’ve been quiet on here for a while but after taking some time away to focus on summer fun with the family, we would like to re-introduce ourselves!

Raise the Bar PDX is a new family run (seriously, just the two of us) business that’s here to help with all of your home bar needs. We specialize in homemade fun-flavored simple syrups, personalized batched cocktails for events like anniversaries and weddings, instructional zoom sessions teaching cocktail basics and new recipes, and, when it’s safe to do so, event bartending!

John-Paul and I were married June 2019. Our love story began at—you guessed it—a bar. A love of coming up with experimental cocktails (JP) and drinking them (me) brought us together. After years of doing it for fun, we decided to bring our talents to the masses. There’s nothing we love more than seeing people enjoy our creations, except maybe each other.
