It's Friday! And since we are nearing the end of Black History Month, we wanted to take a moment to highlight and donate to an organization that is planting new history seeds in our Portland community. is a charter school determined to elevate the voices of underserved children of today to be creative, kind, leaders so that we may continue to write the history of the future with powerful new voices.

We had the honor and privilege to work with this team on some design concepts for a future new school a couple years ago. We were energized by their commitment to building a school environment that will directly nurture and elevate their young students.

Tomorrow evening they are holding their annual fundraiser called Spread the Love. Please consider checking out this AMAZING team of educators, hearing what they're all about, and learning the many ways they are advancing equity in education. Link in bio 🥳

In celebration of our 20th year in business, we're taking a look back at some of the projects that have shaped our work and inspired our journey. Follow along with . We hope our trip down memory lane is pleasant distraction from the current challenges in the world.
Back in 2006, we worked on the Ford Building (originally a Ford Model T Factory!) before Division Street was packed with apartment buildings, hip restaurants, and unique boutiques--before it was a destination in Portland. Revitalizing this building was one of the biggest catalysts to jump start development in the neighborhood. The interior was renovated with upper level creative offices and street level shops, adding large storefront windows where there had previously been none.
Fun fact: The building was at one time the main Ford factory for the Northwest. The elevator inside was big enough for a Model T to be brought to the roof and then craned to a train directly to the south of the building. Freight trains still rattle the building when they pass by today!
