Here is a bi facial solar array in Standish ME! Unlike what a lot of folks think, modern solar arrays are made of 99% recyclable material! There is no backing plate here, and the internals of the panels are silicone semi conductors. The medical grade silicone can be recycled, the glass too, precious metals, metal in general ETC. Cadmium use to be used which is similar to mercury, especially in being toxic. Panels are no longer made with that technology, and the modern version of today not only cause almost zero negative effect on recycling, besides minimal plastic connectors, and they also make power even if they are covered, by reflecting sunlight off of snow, wet grass, even dry grass. The sunlight is captured on the back side of the panel, hence the name Bi-Facial solar panels. Nautilus is massively responsible, and not only has entire contingencies planned for returning the land back to original state, but they also go above and beyond ensuring the natural wildlife and beauty of Maine stays a top priority for while the panels are on someone’s property as well. If you or anyone you know would like to support clean energy, save money, and make a difference just reach out to me via my email.
Hey everyone, My names Colby and I’m an enrollment agent/ energy specialist with Maine community solar. With CMP recently raising the price per customer to $15.11 per bill, ( found in green, in the front top left of the bill.) now has never been a better time to get your CMP subscribed to a state funded community solar field! My job, is to help people get the savings back they are entitled too. We don’t represent any specific solar developer. If you’d like ti get the $15.11 back, and potentially much more reach out, and let’s look over your CMP electrify usage.

We have over 450 local businesses enrolled. Do you recognize any of them? Local Supporters
We are proud to be a local Maine company educating Maine consumers and businesses about the benefits of community solar projects that are right here in the state. Community solar allows businesses and consumers to save 15% on their electric bills and support clean energy. Maine passed legislation in 2019 to encourage the development of community solar and other small renewable energy facilities, providing for Shared Net Energy Billing. This allows you to benefit from the renewable energy produced on a community solar farm. Here are answers to some of the common questions we get.
You will save 15% on your annual electric cost
There is no cost to you to enroll
There is no fee should you decide to leave
We are not a supply company and your utility/supply rates will not be affected
You do not have to invest in or install any solar panels or other equipment
Your savings are guaranteed for years to come without the need to renew annually
If you have any questions or if you are ready to enroll please contact me at any time! You can access my business card with the link below:

Love being able to help people out who are entitled to this discount, who may not be up to date with current technology. In this case I helped switch a few people in a 55+ community, switch developers to Nautilus, simplify the savings, and billing. While also making sure everyone doing this has a full comprehensive understanding of how this program saves you money, and helps the Maine state environmental goals!!
