MotiveSpace formed in 2008 after a year of focus groups, workshops and a Symposium sponsored primarily by the Office of former Portland Mayor Tom Potter. Working with a broad representation of community leaders spanning the private and nonprofit development sectors, Portland’s nonprofit community, and the building community at large, MotiveSpace formed to support the creation of collaborative, inclusive, and healthy spaces for all neighborhoods.
