As I eluded to in my last post, today we headed to Santiago to meet the owner of El Cerro coffee, Melissa, and her father to tour the plantations. We got to see how the coffee cherry's are picked, sorted and dried. On the way up over roads more like riverbeds, we slid into an embankment and banged up the car. Might have been a bad omen because halfway through our tour two of our party got sick and we had to make an emergency stop at a local clinic in Pueblo. No worries as all is well with Hugh and Melissa now after anti nausea shots, IV's and some rest👍Maybe we will continue our tour tomorrow but now it's back to the hotel to rest.
