Coven Brothers

Today is the day, folks. I'm proud to present to you, The Coven Bros Die: Live at the Shanghai Tunnel Bar. This little concert was filmed in front of a live audience by the very talented who also did an incredible job capturing the audio and editing the whole mess into something watchable.

This marks the end of an era for us. We released Debutante a year ago today, played the absolute s**t out of these songs in every dive in the city. We're ready to move on to new material, new modes of being, and just generally doing new s**t.

What a morning! Much to my surprise, a few of our submissions to the first have been nominated!

We are up for:
Best Indie/Alternative Album for our debut "Debutante"
Best Indie/Alternative Song for the closing track, "Jörmungandr"
And a Fan Favorite category for release cover art for the "Hellworld" single release! Shouts out to .alexandern for his impeccable work on this as well as the other pieces he created for "Magpie", "The Ghoul" and the full album.

We appreciate the recognition and support and look forward to seeing how it all shakes out. We're just happy to be included

Welp, the Shanghai Tunnel Bar was an absolute blast last night, as usual, and we want to thank them as well as .bunster and .band for putting on a hell of a show with us.

With that out of the way, I have to share the unfortunate news that our drummer, Steven, will no longer be playing with us. He joined us at the end of summer in '23 and worked hard to learn our songs and get on our freaky wavelength in a very short time, and without him we wouldn't have had the great experiences we had playing live over the last year.

That said, we are currently planning a hibernative/meditative/rest period for the Brothers. As we figure out what the next steps for us look like, I can't help but be extraordinarily grateful for all the people I've been able to form community with in the scene, and for every person who came to see our little band play our little songs.

So stick with us, we'll be around until the heat death of the univere. Go see local shows, we'll be right there with you.

We got a real fun one coming up later this month; it's .band first show in Portland, coming all the way from beautiful Arcata! Let's give them a warm PDX welcome, folks. .bunster and the Brothers will be tearing it up into the night

On a slightly bittersweet note, we will be slowing down on live shows for the rest of the year. As much as we love performing, we need time to write, record, scheme, and exalt our dark overlords.
