I grew up in Oregon and moved from Beaverton to downtown Portland in 2016. My wife and I have watched our city evolve from what used to be an amazing, safe, and beautiful city to one that, frankly, has a reputation for being dysfunctional, unsafe, and failing to meet the basic needs of all its residents.

As a 26-year first-generation financial advisor, I know how money works. I cannot divest myself of my beliefs about the prudent use of dollars. And as a Democrat, I know state government must make smart investments and be a responsible steward of our taxpayer resources.
