What’s driving declines in among rural young men?
A recent Columbia Gorge News article highlights work by Education Northwest and The Ford Family Foundation examining postsecondary enrollment and completion among Oregon students. The findings point to a growing challenge: fewer rural young men are enrolling in college, and many who do enroll face barriers to completion.

What helps stopped-out learners successfully return to college?
A new independent evaluation by Education Northwest examined outcomes from the California Reconnect initiative and found significantly stronger re-enrollment and persistence outcomes among learners who engaged in coaching support.

What happens when learners with some college but no credential (SCNC) connect with a coach? A new independent evaluation of the California Reconnect initiative found that those who engaged in coaching were nearly four times more likely to re-enroll — and significantly more likely to persist once they returned.
