Have you ever wondered what the inside of a Yellow Jacket nest looks like? Here ya go. The white globs are pupae, or cocoons, of a worker waiting to hatch. The queen lays her eggs in each of the cells, which are hexagonal. Also notice that the "sleeve" of cells is also hexagonal, as are the "sleeves" beneath it.
