Dear Parents,Our Heartfelt community has a direct connection with someone in Poland, through the Neufeld Institute, who is helping families fleeing Ukraine. Her name is Joanna Bylinka-Stoch and she is a faculty member at the Neufeld Institute and a colleague of Laina Clugston who has been working closely with us here at Heartfelt for many years. We are hoping to support her work and help fund her efforts.

Dear Friends,
We have an opportunity to help in the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine. One of our Neufeld Institute Faculty – Joanna Bylinka-Stoch - who lives near Warsaw, is deeply involved in trying to help the Ukrainian moms who have crossed the border into Poland with their children.All of the children are facing separation with their fathers as well as of course everything else they know. Besides working with a friend to find them shelter she is also going among the mothers with a translator "to talk to them to help them take care of their children in the best possible way".Yesterday, she was helping a hundred moms, who knows what today has brought. As she said in an email to me yesterday … Oh, what a time... To see all those frightened, broken eyes, Gordon, is indescribable. But all these moms want one thing - to take good care of their children now and we are gathering all the resources here to help them with that. At least this we can do.Today, after I informed her about this fundraising initiative, I received the following email: Thank you so, so, so much for your initiative! I cried when I received your e-mail and it gave me strength for the whole day, which was full of organizational matters, because tomorrow with a team of people we are going to the next center. Today I managed to engage many wonderful people to help - theaters, including these with puppets, musicians, magicians, translators, etc. When it comes to meeting mothers, fortunately, apart from my two people from Poland, there are also Tatiana and Lena, whom I met thanks to Olga Pisaryk . Oh, the “Neufeld family” is just amazing support - I don't know if you realize that everything you've built with Joy over the years shows its power at precisely these moments.The link to donate through paypal is at .
