Couleur & Plante || Numéro 68🍂I've been loosing a steady stream of followers since I started this project. Good! Why keep looking at something you'd rather not see? I also really don't blame them for being tired of it.
It's a long project.
I haven't been chatty in my caption.
I haven't been trying very hard to retain your attention. I am doing this project strictly for me.
It doesn't involve emotions.
I am not communicating a message.
And most of all, I am not sure it is very visually appealing.
Y'all, I am really not looking for encouragement here, don't feel like you need to comment. I am just sharing this part of the journey.
I still haven't made up my mind if I care or not. One thing that tells me that I do, is that I am talking about it here. But my priorities have evolved and I put most of my effort in these days.
I love illustration and I'd like to do something about it one day but let's be realistic. If I want to do something about it, I need to get better. The only way to get better is to practice. Practice is boring. Musicians repeat the same melody over and over to perfect it, build muscle melody to hit the desired tune. Have you ever had a musician as a neighbor? I lived below a violinist for years. Sometimes it was amazing, most of the time it was not.
So yeah, of course, I could do this in my corner and not share it. But I am using Instagram (and you) as a tool to help me with accountability. Plus, this account is for playground funsies, mine, not the Instagram trends.
I have an other project cooking in my mind these days and I am really excited to start working on it but I am really trying to finish this one first to not spread myself too thin. Also, I think I've never finished a personal project, so it'd be a great accomplishment with my thirties around the corner. I go through life baby step after baby step.

Couleur & Plante || Numéro 59🌻 Since Plant Numéro 55, I ditch my ink pen to go full on digital. It should have saved me some time, not having to scan and clean up.
But in reality, I can zoom so much with the Ipad that I've been spending hours on each... Which is not sustainable for this project. So for this one, after 3 hours working on it, I decided to just stop and cut it in half.
