We have been getting lots of requests from southern and eastern oregon for assistance. We do not have any providers in these areas. If we had a reliable transport vehicle large enough to accommodate 12-15 kennels we could consider volunteers transporting to the Portland-metro area...does anyone have any vehicles they might be willing to donate? Like Van's, small RV's trailers etc?

Do you know someone who could use some food for their four footed family members?

OHS is offering free pet food to federal employees and contractors affected by the government shutdown. Food will be available on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at 8001 NE 14th Place, just north of the OHS shelter.

One bag of dog food and one bag of cat food plus cat litter will be available to pet owners on a first come, first served basis. OHS is working with Mud Bay and other vendors to ensure we have enough food and litter to help.

Celebrate Free-bruary with our friends at the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon! All stray and feral cats will get a fabulous packages of services absolutely FREE!

Do any of our friends know of rescues in the Aguila Arizona or Apple Valley California area? We know of several terrier-Chihuahua type dogs needing immediate rescue as their elderly caregiver has been moved away. The dogs include a mom with 3 week old pups and several others. We are trying to find help in the local areas but may be able to coordinate transport to Oregon. If you have any leads for rescues, fosters etc please message us or call 888 664-7729.
