A glimpse of history in regards to revival --and we need God's work in our land today!

Let’s stop the panic! Stop it! Again, I say stop it!

Stop thinking so much about COVID-19. We are obviously exaggerating the neoteric claims and hysterical media prophetic consequences of our national situation. Everyone has pushed and shoved aboard the supersonic crisis, the stripping of store shelves, perpetuated by the fear of personal
suffering and death or even national doom.

How are we to live in this thunderstorm or viral catastrophe called the coronavirus pandemic?

Here in America, during the last 12 months, the CDC has estimated as many as 59,000 deaths from the flu in USA since October 1 to March 14,2020. Last year about 38,800 shiny new caskets and memorial urns were used to remember loved ones killed in car crashes. An unbelievable 800,000 souls died in the United States from heart attacks last year and another 609 thousands will die of cancer this year.

As of this writing, John Hopkins University says that 1,000 people in the United States have died from the coronavirus, So how do we conduct ourselves and manage our lives when 800,000 are dying around us from heart disease? How did we pull through the swine flu (H1N1) when 200,000 died by 2010?

As Clive S. Lewis and the holy text of Hebrews 9:27 reminds us –all live under the sentence of death and that is a certainty, not a mere chance! Buck up! A dewdrop is as much God’s will as COVID-19! We don’t have to panic when we have as our Great Shepherd the One who promises us to live forever with Him in a new body (I Cor 15:50-58 with Rev 21:6,7) and in a New City (Rev. 21:27). I am praying, preparing ministry tools, helping those I find in need, loving my wife, family and little congregation and taking a break from preaching because Pastor Andy is taking this weekend! Thanks Andy!
