Earlier this week, Laurel with Multnomah County Health Department's Behavioral Health Division facilitated a naloxone training for CfPA volunteers. Thanks to Laurel's time and extensive knowledge-sharing, 13 of our volunteers can identify the signs of an opioid overdose and are now trained to administer a life-saving remedy.

We want to extend sincere gratitude to our friends with the Multnomah County Older Adult Behavioral Health Team! It was an incredible gift to offer this opportunity to our volunteers!

A percentage of each order will be donated to the Community for Positive Aging to support our work. This fundraiser is valid on any food ordered between 11:30am - 9pm from the Portland location.

Every May, Older Americans Month celebrates the contributions of older adults. The 2026 theme, "Champion Your Health,” highlights prevention, wellness, and self-advocacy as cornerstones of healthy aging. At CfPA we see Health Champions every day - participants, volunteers and staff alike.

Yesterday we celebrated our incredible volunteers at our Rooted in Community Volunteer Appreciation Lunch! It was such a heartwarming afternoon and a true gift to gather so many people who give their time to make our community a place of resilience and belonging. A heartfelt thank you to each one of our volunteers for everything you do ❤️
