We never viewed them as competition… we celebrated the commonality that Pizza Joint has been a long-standing beacon of the South Portland community with a relatable goal: To serve excellent food and service to our friends and neighbors. SoPo House of Pizza would like to personally wish Pizza Joint’s owners, staff and families all the very best as they close their doors tomorrow and transition to other endeavors. It’s the end of an era, and you will be missed! 🍕♥️

I can't speak for the hard working crew at our Portland location, but I can for this work family. This week has been absolutely insane since it was announced my employer of 31 years will be closing both of our locations permanently! We were all shocked! This crew has been absolutely amazing! They are Rockstar super troupers! I'm so fortunate to call myself not only their manager, but their friend as well. Everyday this week has been a challenge to ALL of us, both physically and mentally, but they are keeping smiles on their faces and rocking the customer service. I will dearly miss working with each and every one of them.
And now I must mention the customers who have become friends over all of the years I've been here! WHOA! You guys are some of the best as well, I will miss you all dearly. I'm sure I will be fortunate enough to see some of you other places and can't wait. I have no idea what will be on the horizon for me after next week, keeping my mind open to options.

It is with great sadness that we have made the tough decision to close Pizza Joint.

Our last day of operation will be Sunday, April 14th. This date is subject to change depending on how much crew we have in the last few days.
