We’ll be OOO at the end of this month for a few weeks! ✌🏼

Y’all…it’s September! J and I are nearing ONE YEAR of marriage on the 12th (🤯) and we are taking a few weeks off for a road trip through MT/WY to visit Glacier, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and a few other parks in the area!

We’ll be camping, hiking, kayaking & listening to lots of podcasts as we make our way through 6 new states + 5 new national parks!

This month we are planning to finish all our work before heading out of town so we can be fully present w/ each other and off the grid for a bit in nature!

• Editing + delivering weddings/elopements from the summer
• Shooting 1 local wedding
• Onboarding our newest team member (so excited to share more soon!)
• Continuing to work on developing our partnerships in the PNW for 2024 couples
• Building out our site to launch by end of 2023!

There’s always a never ending task list in entrepreneurship, but the question we always ask ourselves is, “What is the priority?”

So we’re excited to focus on these things for the next few weeks so we can take time off together to reflect on our first year in marriage 🫶

Any and all podcast/audio books/playlist recommendations…drop ‘em our way! 👇🏼

A common misconception about elopements that we see is that…

people think elopements aren’t for Christians. And we think that couldn’t be further off or more wrong.

There are plenty of misconceptions about elopements, but let’s debunk this one for now.

Our business name, “Avodah,” is a Hebrew term that represents 3 terms in the language: meaning, “work, worship, and service.”

Our faith has Hebrew roots, and so we wanted our business to have meaningful roots that represented our “why.”

Jordan and I love Jesus, live in a faith community, and spend our days growing and practicing this way of life together.

We also shoot elopements & would have eloped ourselves (but that is a story for another time.)

We see elopements as the purest way two can enter into a marriage covenant together with one another.

It’s a day without the production. Fully present with one another and with the spirit of God. Being able to enjoy & celebrate the start of your marriage without it being a performance for others.

A day without waste. Being able to be truly intentional with what you consume and how it impacts our beautiful world God’s gifted us with.

A day without unnecessary stress, greed, or hurriedness. A day that truly resembles two lives becoming one - unity in diversity, a image of our creator.

At the end of the day, our job is to serve you, celebrate you, and tell your story honestly.

& Elopements are for everyone! It’s about representing your values on your day…and we’re here to remind you of just that 🤍🎊
