It’s Teach Maine Tuesday, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this great news about our 2025 Penobscot County Teacher of the Year Ben Johnson.

Ben Johnson, the 2025 Penobscot County Teacher of the Year and a finalist for 2026 Maine State Teacher of the Year, has earned national recognition from the American Classical League for his outstanding contributions to Latin education through innovative technology-based learning resources used by students and teachers around the world. Do you know a student grades 6-12 who is looking for an exciting, immersive experience built around computer science learning? Here's their chance: Educate Maine’s Girls Who Code Camp July 26–31.

This week-long overnight camp University is designed to inspire the next generation of leaders while helping close the gender gap in technology. Girls Who Code Camp at Husson University Join us for a week-long Girls Who Code overnight summer camp experience at Husson University in Bangor for middle & high school students.
