~~The Agenda~~
12-12:15: warm up

12:15-1:15: solo-together rehearsal
- we turn off our cameras/audio and turn inward for an hour of rehearsing together/apart

1:15-1:30: cool down / break

1:30-2:30: (impromptu) salon
- we gather & give each other feedback on the work, share revelations, ask questions about places we are stuck, with time to present a few in progress works if desired!

Everything is optional & you are welcome in every segment of the session!

Why rehearsal?
As I prepare to host and perform in the upcoming Saturn show, I return to the questions of how Saturn’s energy can infuse not just the show, but the process that gets us there. I ask: what containers will support me in that process? Discipline, as in being a disciple. Support for the commitments I need to make to myself, & to you — the show, the cast, the audience. Support for my q***r, neuroemergent relationship to time, beloved time.

And then I thought… what I *need* is the support, external accountability and momentum, of REHEARSAL. All the relationship building, the energy combining, and the fun, without the punishment or pressure or lack of physical safety that I personally grew up with in those spaces (for theatre, choir, etc).

Who to rehearse with? Drag performances are so often a solo endeavor. It is time to ask for help.

Then I thought… if this helps me, & I’m both a performer AND an audience member, perhaps the people who I might ask for help ARE themselves other performers and audience members who would benefit from the container I have come up with for myself.

So! I begin to host the show Saturn by hosting these rehearsals, & you’re all invited.
