Feed the Mass
We develop, cook, and serve thousands of healthy meals each week. Our educational programs teach people to make informed, conscious nutritional choices.
Our Summer Youth Culinary Program is almost halfway through, and the journey around the world continues.
This week our young chefs traveled to France, where they prepared the classic dish Beef Bourguignon while sharpening their cooking techniques and building confidence in the kitchen.
There are still a few spots available if you’d like to join us for the rest of the summer. Hit the link in our bio to sign up and discover new recipes from around the world.

We’re already heading into Week 4 of our Summer Youth Culinary Program, and what an incredible journey it’s been.
Our young chefs have explored flavors and techniques from West Africa, Thailand, and India while building confidence in the kitchen.
This week, we’re headed to France, and we can’t wait to see what the class creates next.
There are still a few spots available for the remaining weeks of the program. Classes run every Wednesday through August 19. If you know a young person who loves food or wants to learn new skills in the kitchen, now is the perfect time to join us.

We’ve updated the Feed the Mass website to make it easier than ever to explore our programs, classes, volunteer opportunities, events, and all the ways we’re working to empower our community through food.
Whether you’re looking to get involved, sign up for a class, volunteer, or learn more about our mission, everything is now easier to find.
Take a look and let us know what you think. We’d love to hear your feedback and any ideas you have for making the site even better. Your input helps us continue improving the experience for everyone in our community. If you’d like, I can also make it a little more conversational or add a stronger call to action encouraging people to visit the website.

Yesterday we welcomed the Portland Timbers for their annual Volunteer Week, and what an incredible day it was.
Eighteen players and staff rolled up their sleeves to help prepare more than 200 pounds of trail mix for Safe Rest Villages and packed 60 backpacks filled with school supplies and healthy treats for young people in our community.
We’re grateful to the Portland Timbers for spending the day serving alongside us and making a real impact in our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success!
