Erica's Acid [HTX159], by Blaix 04/25/2026

"Erica’s Acid is the first official full-length release from Blaix on Heterodox Records, arriving April 24th as a hardware-focused collection rooted in Portland’s electronic scene. Built from material written for live performances between 2022 and 2025, the album explores acid-tinged experimental electronic music, with the Erica Synths DB-01 shaping much of its core sound and identity. The release reflects years of shows, friendships, and creative growth within the community that helped shape it. The second disc, Mixes by Homies, brings that connection to the forefront, featuring remixes from close collaborators and standing as a defining part of the project’s spirit.”

Heterodox Records is proud to welcome Nailbite, aka , to the label with the release of his debut album, “Healing, a process involving change” Nailbite is an experimental IDM / Drum and Bliss alias focused on blending emotionally lush guitar and synth melodies with fast, intricate breakbeats. Rooted in contrast, the project explores the beauty and tension between the analog and digital worlds.
Created by Berlin-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Ethan Walsh, Nailbite draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, with a clear emphasis on late ’90s IDM and early 2000s indietronica.
Nailbite’s debut album, “Healing, a process involving change”, is a 8 track exploration of emotional depth within electronic music. Intriguing guitar melodies and complex drum programming are interwoven with sampled interviews and detuned synths, blurring the line between electronic composition and traditional songwriting. The result is a body of work that feels intimate, expressive, and human.

John Nap (San Antonio) returns with C.C.T., a new full-length that distills 20 years of work across projects ScamLikely, and Traducer into a razor-edged IDM/jungle collision. Expect frantic breakwork, heavy low-end, and cut-up vocal shards stitched into kinetic, detail-obsessed tracks—plus collaborations with a wide circle of artists that push the record into stranger, brighter corners.
