This Sunday is Palm Sunday, commemorating Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the beginning of Holy Week. Together, we journey with Our Lord through His Passion, Death, and glorious Resurrection. Join Archbishop Sample and Bishop Smith for these solemn liturgies at the Cathedral.
Ubi Caritas Et Amor, Deus Ibi Est. “Wherever there is charity and love, God is there.” St. John even goes so far as to tell us that God IS LOVE. Fr. Randy, the pastor at St. Andrè Bessette Church in downtown Portland, whose main ministry is feeding and caring for the poor, explores the idea of Christian love and charity in our world today, and how we can better understand and experience God through our relationships with others, whether that be through romantic love, family love, or love of neighbor. His morning talk will focus on the theology of love and charity, and the afternoon talk will more deeply explore his experiences at St. Andrè Bessette.
