Circle Up in The Bay! Join us for a free outdoor performance by Latin music duo Larry & Joe, presented by Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. Bring your lunch and hang with WAA in our reserved section — we’ll have blankets, chairs, and a few extras, including limited-edition swag giveaways.

Then, on May 22 (the very next day!), WAA will join the first Old Oakland Stroll of the 2026 season — a monthly celebration of the vibrant neighborhood and local businesses that will host this year’s annual conference.

We’re extremely excited to announce that our Keynote address, part of the Grand Opening sponsored by SOZO, will be given by comedian, author, and filmmaker W. Kamau Bell. A deeply rooted and proud Oaklander, his mantra, “Who’s With Me?”, not only drives his work of creating and lifting up connection and community, but resonates with us as we call for our community to Circle Up at WAA OAK.
