Over the past weekend, we volunteered with Portland Trails and set out in the Fore River Sanctuary to lend a hand, picking up trash, raking leaves, and rebuilding washed out sections of trail.
It was great to join the volunteers, work up a sweat moving dirt and gravel, and take pride in giving back to a space that so many people enjoy every day.
There is something about putting in real, physical work together that builds connection, both with each other and with the community around us.
