Have you ever heard the statement, “Power equals information plus alternatives?”⠀
â €
I believe this couldn’t be more relevant to our current situation. ⠀
â €
There is a serious LACK of information and facts we can trust AND many of us don’t feel like we have good alternatives available to us right now…so as a result…we feel powerless.⠀
â €
Let’s break this down a bit…. Was there ever a time when you felt really empowered? ⠀
â €
If you look back on that time, you’ll probably notice that you had all the information you needed and lots of alternatives and options available to you to make good decisions. Am I right?!⠀
â €
I think it’s totally appropriate that many of us feel unempowered and helpless right now...it’s a very uncertain time. ⠀
â €
I’ve felt this way in many periods in my life and here’s what helped me navigate the uncertainty:⠀
â €
1. Find the untouchable, unshakable power within. Inside of you, there is a space that is always safe, can never make mistakes, and is infinitely loved. Close your eyes, breathe into it, and know that it’s always available to you for comfort and as a guiding force in your life. ⠀
â €
2. Connect with nature. Mother Nature can have a powerful effect on the human body to reduce stress. Spend time noticing the beauty Mother Nature has to offer.
â €
3. Have faith. During the times of my life when I have felt the most uncertain and worried about the future, I tapped into a deep reservoir of faith. I’m not religious, but I do believe there is something out there bigger than me and that there is divine energy in the world; so I have faith in that. Faith that it will all be okay, because it always has been and always is. And that I can survive whatever comes my way because I am strong, resourceful, and part of something bigger.
â €
3. Move your body. Movement is essential to surviving uncertainty…there is something quite magical about the effects of movement on the body, mind and soul.

4. Cry, dance, wallow, power through, try, fail, try again. Let the energy move through you. Don’t attach to it.
â €
5. Spend time with people who are positive, and who love and support you. This is important.
