A new year and a new school for Presumpscot teachers and students 09/11/2023

As the School Board Finance Chair and a City Councilor, I worked to develop plans to make crucial renovations to our public elementary schools.

It’s wonderful to finally see these plans come to fruition and hear about the impact this is having in the lives of educators, admin, and students.

These renovations are not only important to bettering the quality of education in our schools, but they also show each student that our community cares about and values them.

Wishing all students, families, and educators a happy school year ahead!

A new year and a new school for Presumpscot teachers and students Principal Angela Taylor says the renovations at the Portland elementary school, paid for with part of the $64 million bond passed by voters in 2017, have given the community 'a space that is created with children in mind.'
