Since World War I, Ford Philanthropy, the global philanthropic branch of Ford Motor Company, has partnered with the American Red Cross to support communities during times of crisis. This long‑standing relationship began when Ford designed and donated Model T ambulances to aid lifesaving efforts. The partnership continued through World War II with contributions to the Red Cross Motor Corps, a dedicated group of women volunteers who transported wounded service members and delivered essential supplies and personnel.
