Dear Dwight,

It has been reported, and some may be aware of this issue, that META (Facebook) has been shutting down many of our club and district pages for what they term copyright violations regarding the Rotary International trademarks. The Zone 26 & 27 Public Image Coordinators have been in discussion with Rotary International about this issue. The Zone has become aware of the need to register your club/district Facebook URL at RI to get your site on the approved list and avoid a take-down from META. Please note that once your page has been taken down by META it is almost impossible to get it back and in most cases the club/district will have to create a new page and start over.

Failure to complete this step will leave your page open to being shutdown by META, with the only option being to create a new page from scratch, which will result in your club/district losing all of their posting history.
