AFT-Oregon, a state affiliate of the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, is a union labor federation representing some 18,000 Oregon workers in K-12, community college and higher education in faculty, graduate, and classified positions; and child care workers, in both public and private sectors.

💢 The recommendations in the governor's new Prosperity Council report do not prioritize working Oregonians. Instead, they push tax cuts for the rich under a veil of “competitiveness.”

⭐ Oregon Center for Public Policy is fighting for shared prosperity for all Oregonians, not just the top 1 percent.

“The Council’s recommendations respond to this dire challenge by cutting taxes for millionaires and by prioritizing corporate handouts over direct investment in the success of working families across our state,” the center’s deputy director, Daniel Hauser, says.

When hundreds of thousands of Oregonians could lose their health care in the coming years, the Council’s recommendations fail to grapple with how working people exist in our economy.
