The name is a nod to Sainte-Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris and the location of Krista’s first cake shop. Krista and her partner, Chef Taylor McLoughlin, founded Sugarplum Cake Shop in the historic Latin Quarter of Paris in 2010. At Sugarplum, they reached a worldwide audience through considerable press coverage and social media outlets. Krista’s cake designs have been featured in Vogue, Glamour, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty and the BBC as well as many other publications.
