This is really what it is all about.

The pro-life movement was never about protecting unborn fetuses. It has always been about giving religious folk the ability to repent for their feeling bad. It also does so in a very disgusting manner at that because it has nothing to do with righting their wrongs or changing their own behavior but, rather, their forcing an arbitrary choice on others.

This fact is proven with several points.

Fetal registration
If OK, FL, TX and the like were really about protecting the unborn then they would do so uniformly. Pregnant women would need to notify the state - just as you must legally register any newborn - and any that end in miscarriage would be queried for involuntary manslaughter.

The sins
It’s bad enough that abortion isn’t even mentioned in the bible. Somehow, the sins that are and were the topic of discussion a century ago - adultery, divorce, ma********on and contraception - are completely ignored. Why? Too many conservative Christians are guilty of them. In the end, though, contraception would also be included as killing as well as male ma********on.

Pro-life
It’s ironic that this movement seems to end at birth. If it didn’t you’d see legislation covering food, clothing, shelter and healthcare expenses for every caregiver (usually the mother) and child until said offspring turns 18. In reality you see the opposite where such support is restricted, reduced or removed.

Let’s face it. Anti-abortion is a hypocritical movement used to attack poor people, PoC and anyone not fitting their definition of supreme. If the church can adapt, then it needs to do so here; or does the sun still revolve around a flat earth?

If the church can annul a marriage, they can annul a fetus.
