A Village is a group of like-minded people in a geographic area who come together to help each other age affordably in their own homes. This kind of village is not a building or a real estate development or a retirement community. It is a coordinated network of volunteer and reduced cost services that supports village members to do as much for as little cost for as long as possible.

This week’s Messy Beautiful Art workshop, led by Tracey Hillman, involved messing around with Botanical Gelli Printing. In Tracey’s words, "This is a fun and experimental monoprinting process that captures the graphic beauty of pressed plants I have collected from around my Woodstock neighborhood. We will be working with acrylic paint, so please don’t wear clothing you care about! Whether you are artsy or not, this is easy and playful and will yield a pleasing print. If you are curious about seeing gelli printing in action, please search for one of the hundreds of botanical gelli printing tutorials on YouTube." Look at some of the gorgeous work Villagers produced (thanks, Wendy, for the photos). We hope Tracey offers a repeat soon!
