We’re back again on Wednesday night, 12/20, with a very special evening of community, movement, art, & music as we dance ourselves into the Winter Solstice. ✨

Our evening will begin with a guided somatic exploration through the realm of Contact Improv with Jackson DiChiara ( jack__sun _). He is a student and advocate for the transformative power of Contact Improvisation. For the last three years, Jackson has been exploring and deepening his grasp on this artform. Beginning in the knowledgeable Eugene dance communities, his exploration has continued to many cities and festivals along the west coast and further. Jackson believes that within the practice of CI lies insights reaching beyond the dance floor. Join him in this intro friendly workshop to practice or deepen concepts of ‘weight sharing as communication’, ‘listening’, and ‘leaning (literally) into awkwardness’.

Our ecstatic dance will follow with back to back sets by our dear maMA bird & Kallum, otherwise known together as Booski!

maMA bird () is a registered nurse, mama to three daughters, and a native to the greater PDX area. inspired by a deep desire to be of service, maMA bird began curating journey-safe sets to support integration clients in cultivating relationships with earth medicines & with themselves. maMA bird soundscapes traverse multi-genres, including world music, organica, bass, downtempo, and folktronic frequencies. heartfelt, activating, and nuanced, every set weaves a prayer. maMA bird aspires to steward Life integration through dance, ritual, relationship, active listening & deep re-membering.

Kallum () weaves traditional acoustic sounds from around the world into his dynamic music productions. His creations underscore his strong desire to connect communities by using the universal language of rhythm, movement, and Dance. A powerfully effective and evocative fusion of traditional global acoustic sounds with bass-heavy electronic production, Kallum's music compels listeners to move, connect, and dance.

We will close with a final healing sound transmission by the glorious Maitreya Wolf (). Bringing forth music that defies classification and genre, the songs emerge from an ancient world that reaches past the logical mind and into the heart and soul of the listener. Maitreya sings from the soul for awakening, healing, liberation, and beauty, and her music lights a path for reconnection to the essence of the truest self, a path that will touch you to the core of your being. Maitreya Wolf is a mystic, musician, wisdom teacher, and Earth spirit whose voice and songs are an utterly unique experience of beauty, tenderness, and wild power.
