During my round yesterday, I got the call that my old man is now playing on heavenly fairways. There is no better place for me to be than on the golf course doing what we loved together. When I first started playing golf, he told me how excited he was that I was playing the game. I didn’t realize it at the time, but it quickly became clear how much it meant to have someone to share this passion with. I remember being just 3 years old, watching him chip balls in his front yard, yet it took us 34 years to play our first round together. Now that he’s gone, the phrase “better late than never” has never felt so true. Play well up there, Granddaddy. ☁️🏌️🏾‍♂️⛳️☁️

Meet Jackie Gray. is a visionary entrepreneur and former U.S. Army veteran who leads Succor Global, LLC, a Portland-based executive protection and security firm dedicated to the principle “Defendi Inermes”—to defend the unarmed. With degrees in marketing and psychology from Portland State University and linguistic training from the Defense Language Institute, Jackie brings empathy and strategic insight to his leadership. Under his guidance, Succor Global is noted for its diversity, veteran leadership, and mission-driven service.

Committed to empowering youth and uplifting his community, Jackie serves on the board of the , which promotes mentorship, education, and athletics in Portland. Inspired by the foundation’s holistic approach to youth development, he works to create opportunities for the city’s next generation.

Meet Mikey Vegaz. is a Portland artist and entrepreneur who transformed his dream into a cultural movement through Trap Kitchen PDX. As the founder of Pyrex Media and co-founder of , he merged music with culinary entrepreneurship and community. Mikey’s leadership elevated the brand to symbolize resilience and local pride.

He’s focused on giving back, providing free meals during the pandemic and partnering with artists like Aminé to serve the community. Under his direction, has expanded into catering, merchandise, a restaurant in the Roseland Theater, and opening new location in the eastside of Portland. Mikey Vegaz continues to drive a brand that celebrates Black culture and supports Portland, demonstrating relentless authenticity and inspiration.
