Visited Nachi Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Wakayama 🌿
It was a truly breathtaking place where I could deeply feel the beauty and power of nature！

“First meal in Japan — finally indulging in the fatty tuna and yakitori I’d been dreaming about.

I attended a wonderful reception today celebrating the sister-state/city relationship between Portland and Toyama Prefecture!
We were treated to an amazing selection of Toyama's specialties, including their famous rice, Himi Udon noodles, firefly squid (hotaru-ika), and local sake. What a great night of cultural exchange!
