One of the things I love about being a bookbinder is, you never know what is going to come into the studio next. This book (an incunabula) from 1479, came in for a custom clamshell enclosure. I’ve included a couple of photos of the gorgeous hand illuminations found throughout the text. I’ll have more photos to share once it comes back into the studio for some minor stabilization.
