A thought on negative reviews.

One bad review on a profile full of good ones actually makes you look more believable.

A perfect 5.0 looks fake to most homeowners. What matters is how you reply.

Stay calm. Don't argue. Take it offline. Most owners panic when a bad review shows up.

The ones who don't usually end up looking better than they did before it was even posted.

A reminder for May.

This is the month review requests get forgotten. Crews are slammed, the calendar is packed, and the to-do list never gets shorter. Asking for reviews feels like one more thing.

Here's the thing though. The customers you finished jobs for this week are the most likely to leave you a five-star review. By July, they'll have forgotten what the yard even looked like before.

Ask for reviews as soon as you complete the job.

Something we see a lot when we audit Google profiles.

The reviews are good, but the replies are awful.

"Thank you for your review!" Over and over. Every customer gets the same line.

It reads like a robot wrote it because, often, a robot did.

A real reply takes 30 seconds. Mention the customer name, what you did, and something specific to the job.

Sound like a human.
